I could have chosen to wear a dress like this, but didn't . . .
Oh My God she planned her daughter, Lynn's, Sweet Sixteen Party so well. First of all, Lynn had to think of a theme. WOw! Lynn chose the fairytale dream theme.
I had to choose a dress from my fav fairytale. Yellow/Beauty and Beast was out of the question. So, Snow White/Red or Cinderella/light blue? m-m-m-m-m-m. I decided on Repunzel/Purple!!
Next, Lynn had to choose games. She chose dance party games and they played them all. The decorations were outstanding; all based on the fairytale theme. Lastly, we had to agree on a fairytale theme food menu based on all the fairy tales. The MC organizer introduced each couple and started us all dancing right away - GREAT! We 50's stroll danced our way in with The Sandpipers Guantanamera. The music was varied, some songs from Lynn's era and some for the old folks.
Another thing, Mayola was strong, one time she heard a tree branch cracking noise and ran to the back yard. Patrick was held under a heavy branch. Mayola did the impossible; she lifted the branch off his chest.
Plus, Mayola was a fighter. She fought with the neighbors if she felt they wronged one of her children.
Then there was horse lessons on the back of Patrick's horse. It bucked her off and broke her wrist. It was never the same again.
